How this estimate is calculated

Premium: 2026 KFF and CMS national average benchmark plans by metal tier, multiplied by the ACA age curve factor (1.000 at 21, 3.000 at 64) and a state-level cost index.

Subsidy: 2026 IRS applicable percentage tables. Premium tax credit equals the benchmark Silver premium minus the expected contribution percentage of household income, between 100 and 400 percent FPL.

Cost-sharing reduction: For Silver plans below 250 percent FPL, the effective actuarial value rises (94% below 150% FPL, 87% below 200%, 73% below 250%).

Cost sharing: Expected medical spending at the chosen usage level, adjusted by the plan's actuarial value, capped at the OOP maximum.

Estimates are illustrative. Actual quotes depend on specific carrier, plan, county, tobacco status, and exact household composition. Verify with HealthCare.gov or your state marketplace before enrolling.
